In Boca Grande Florida we met two people who told us about the mysterious and elusive Green Flash. They had only heard about this special sunset. They had never seen it. A week later we witnessed what appears to be the legendary Green Flash. It was a beautiful sky on both horizons. Two rainbows appeared in the east as the sun was going down in the west. It was right after a storm came through.
I think this abstract photography captures some of the beauty of the legendary Green Flash as seen from Gasparilla Island, Boca Grande, Florida, February 23, 2017.
Our friends who told us about the Green Flash never got to see it. They left Florida a week before this sunset.
