Description
The Cathedral of Cologne was started in the 13th century and finished in the late 19th century. The final and most expensive and extensive phase of construction in the late 1800's was financed by Catholics, Protestants and Jews together. It was a symbol of Cologne's and Germany's rise to architectural and technological prominence. I can only say with only a little surprise...that the history of the city and the Dom are rich and amazing. Kolsch beer is also a favorite.
I am sure the Cathedral has propagated many messages over time and in many ways. This one display from 2016 is a multilingual projection. The words are projected on me and shot with my camera by Joakim Dahl, my son in law.
